The Organization

In-Sync is a non-profit organization designed to educate couples and equip them with tools and skills to achieve more fulfilled and balanced relationships.

Retreats

In-Sync plans, coordinates, and hosts couple’s retreats. The retreat materials, information, and agenda are prepared by licensed mental health therapists. Registered guests are provided lodging, session materials, and all on-site meals. The average couple's retreat can cost $1,500 to $3,000, making this experience out of reach for the average family. Through the generosity of our donors and partners, we are able to offset the cost of the experience by 70%-100% per couple in attendance.

Therapy

Our organization also partners with licensed marriage and family therapists to provide couples counseling. All of the partners operate on a sliding scale to ensure consistent counseling will be affordable. This allows our couples the opportunity for continued growth and connection in their daily lives.

How We Started

In-Sync started with the idea of planning a couple's trip...

Our wedding day was set, for September 27. Then Gwen's sister called with news of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get married earlier in Chicago with Steve Harvey officiating the ceremony! Many of the wedding arrangements were already made, and we also wanted our families to be a part of the celebration... so we had two weddings. With the earlier date being the day we were actually married, we decided to devise a way to keep our second-anniversary date significant. We thought it would be a great idea to include other couples. One thought led to another and the In-Sync couple's retreat was born.
